So I emailed Radio 1 about Adam being on the playlist...

This is what I said;

Hi I was wondering if you can tell me if 'For Your
Entertainment' by Adam Lambert has been added to the playlist at all?

It is released in less than 3 weeks (26th April, Album out on the 3rd
May) And a lot of the local radio stations are playing it and the video
is getting lots of play too.

I am just surprised that it hasn't been picked up by you guys yet =/

Thanks very much for your email.

Radio 1 has a very democratic playlist process and the team who meet to
discuss the music we play are carefully chosen to reflect a wide range
of tastes and areas of expertise. With only 50 current records on our
weekly daytime playlist we simply cannot play everything. We have to
have an opinion on music and in fact the audience strongly values Radio
1's role as a powerful new music filter. With thousands of tracks to
choose from we must select a range of the best new music relevant to our
young target audience. No individual will agree with every decision we
make, we accept that, as the perceived 'quality' and 'relevance' of
music is subjective. I am sorry if we are not supporting your favourite
artist or record, but it is simply impossible to please everyone!

Now this is what's frustrating me at the moment... We all want him to do well over here, but if the UK's biggest radio station isn't playing his single how is it expected to get into the charts? 

I have tweeted the 2 PR reps for him and all they tell me is ask Radio 1.

So I don't know any more.  I am baffled by it all.
